Sports Nutrition

Online sports nutrition coaching for athletes.

1:1 video meetings with a vetted nutrition coach. Energy for training, recovery between practices, and fueling that holds up on game day.

What is online sports nutrition coaching?

A vetted sports nutrition coach meets your athlete 1:1 on video and builds practical fueling habits: energy for training, recovery between practices, hydration, and game-day fueling. It is built around real life, dining halls, team travel, and busy school weeks, not meal plans that fall apart on a Tuesday.

Who are Koomba's nutrition coaches?

Koomba's nutrition coaches include registered dietitians and board-certified specialists in sports dietetics who have fueled athletes at the highest levels of sport. Every coach is screened by our team before they ever meet an athlete.

How does it work?

Tell us about your athlete, their sport, and their goals. You see match options and pricing in about 2 minutes, choose the coach together, and meet 1:1 on video for 30-50 minutes with flexible scheduling. Most athletes are matched and meeting within a week.

How does nutrition coaching fit with mental performance coaching?

They are the two halves of performance, and Koomba is one of the only platforms covering both. Under-fueling drives many of the problems that look mental, like flat tournament legs and late-game fades, so many families pair a nutrition coach with a mental performance coach.

See both services on What We Do, or read our fueling guides: game-day fueling and dining-hall fueling.

What does sports nutrition coaching cost?

You see exact pricing during signup, which takes about 2 minutes, before you commit to anything. Clubs, schools, and college programs get custom quotes, and partnership pricing is typically discounted.

Sports nutritionist vs registered dietitian: what's the difference?

Registered dietitian (RD) is an accredited credential that requires a graduate degree, supervised practice, and a national exam. Sports nutritionist is not a regulated title, so anyone can use it. Koomba screens every nutrition coach, so you don't have to decode the titles yourself.

Is online as good as in person?

For habit-based nutrition coaching, online works well because meetings fit around training instead of adding a commute. Your athlete meets their coach from home, on the road, or at school, and the plan adjusts as the season changes.
